Que Pasa Calabaza

Hey guysssss, 

      I survived my first few days in the field... Can you believe it? cause I can't, jk jk, I'm doing great. 

Companion

      Okay so I've been extremely blessed, my trainer is amazing. I love her so much and she has already taught me so so much. She has faith in me and she always tells me how confident in me she is. So that's definitely helped me a lot. She's super fun and very funny, we are always joking around which makes things a little more relaxing. So she is actually called to be spanish speaking, but she hasn't been to a spanish area yet. She actually just got done with training so she is somewhat new at this too. But I would have never thought that because she knows what she is doing. So I am learning some Spanish from her, my title means what's up pumpkin? She said she will teach me to pray in Spanish so that's something to look forward to haha! 

Area

      So I am Living in a little town called Marion, it's in Virginia, so I am sadly not inTennessee, but I couldn't be happier about my area. So my area actually goes into another area, so I live in Marion and all of Marion is in our area, but then we also have a 3rd of Abingdon which is another area. So there are other sisters assigned to the Abingdon area, but they don't cover our part. So we can go sleep at the Abingdon sisters apartments whenever we want, because we also serve in Abingdon. We cover a lot of area, and there aren't very many active members, so it's a lot of responsibility and a lot of work, which is exciting!!

Spiritual Experience 

      So when Trist was a missionary, he told me about how he would pray for something really specific for someone to be wearing to find that day. So the other day we were planning to go out and find lots of people! And I kept thinking about Triston saying that. And I kept having the thought that I needed to pray for a green hat. This was weird to me so I prayed for it individually, then when I was saying our companion prayer, I kept getting the feeling to pray for a green hat. But I didn't because it was weird. Then I told Sister Boyack about it all and she suggested we pray together for it. So we prayed for someone with a green hat to listen to our message. At first we weren't having much luck, but then we went to this market sale, where a bunch of vendors were set up. We were talking to a bunch of people and I saw a girl in a green santa hat and I was like hmmm maybe, but I hesitated because I was nervous. We went to leave and I realized that I can't be scared, so I asked if we should go talk to her and Sister Boyack said yeah we should. So we talked to her, bared our testimonies and got her number which was awesome. Even if she isn't interested and doesn't want to learn more, this was still a miracle, and an answer to our prayers. My faith definitely grew stronger and I learned from this. 

Fun Things we did

      We went to this really cute restaurant that's called Macados, it's so cute and it was so much fun! I ate a mac n cheese burger with barbecue chips on it, and it was so good! It was huge, I couldn't fit my mouth around it! We made our goals and had a good night! We run every morning and that's NOT fun, but I do it anyway. We also make Banana delights and they are awesome. Other than that good fun week!! LOVE YOU ALL!!
