Virginia Says Hey :)

Welp the hard part has happened. I've been struggling I'm not gonna lie. Defintely been the hardest week of life! My trainer left me, and my new comp is very different from Sister Boyack. It's been rough, but I love my new companion even though it's been hard!

I do know how important this work is! I understand the need for every bit of it. But it's so hard! I gave a sacrament talk on building zion through missionary work and I talked about how important it is. Satan tries really hard to stop this work, and he has been attacking me for the past week. And yeah I've really wanted to quit and to go home because it hurts. But I know I can't, which is why it hurts so much! I understand that this business of saving souls is serious, and we must do whatever is within our power to save our Father’s children. I'm weak right now, but I've noticed my testimony is stronger. Withing the past 4 days I've wanted to quit, but my testimony has been stronger than it's ever been. I don't understand why but that's just how it's been.

Okay something good from this week was we got an inactive member to come back to church! I really bonded with this lady when we went and saw her a couple weeks back and she hadn't been to church yet, but she came yesterday because I told her I was talking! I was so happy to see her at church, and I was happy that she was able to take the sacrament! Ummm another good thing was the sunset was really pretty last night! It was a pink sky ;) We got some return appointments with some people we haven't talked to in a while so that's definitely some miracles! You can always find good things through hard times :)

My favorite quote from the week was from a talk that's called The Parable of the Slope and it says "no matter where we start, Christ considers what we do with what we are given." Definitely fits me at this time and helps me want to do better! Thanks Penni for sending that to me :))

I love you all, sorry for the not so happy email! Love you all so much! I'll be okay, I'm okay! Ttyl

Sister Merritt!
