Imma A Chef Lowkey
Okay y'all so something I have to talk about very first because I forgot too last week was this Methodist church I went too. It's was a very very beautiful church! But it was interesting! They sang a lot of good Christian music and I liked that a lot! They acted out a scene from before Christ's death, and they also had this really big cross on the ground and during the service they invited people to go up to the cross and hammer these nails into the cross. It was loud. All around, I had a really good time at this church, and it was good for me to feel what it feels like to come to a different church for the first time! Now I will know when I have friends come to our church and they are coming for the first time what it feels like. But that was a really cool experience, I liked it!
This week was great though, we spent a lot of time outside and I loved it!
So we started up these new activities as a missionary district and one of the activities is a Chosen watch party, and that is my favorite one, because as missionaries we can't watch the chosen, but if it's an activity we can. It's kind of funny because I understand it more now as a missionary then I did before I was a missionary. One of the other activities that we are doing is a athletic activity on Saturday and we do that one on Melton lake and the purpose of that one is to find people to teach and just ask a bunch of people to join, there are always so many people at Melton Lake so it'd be perfect.
We went to mutual this week and they were doing chalk art of Bible stories. Us missionaries decided to do one too and we got Moses parting the red sea. That was a fun one to draw.
Our district this transfer is cool and I love all of them, it's just rough because we are all soooo different. There's two of us that like to play sports, then two that are down for whatever, then one of us that likes to play cards, then one of us that likes to go to museums or play writing games. And I'm not saying any of that is wrong or bad to do, I'm just saying that I'd rather be playing pickle ball or volleyball or spike ball. But this transfer is gonna go a little differently which is sad :( but whatever.
One day this week we went to the lake to street contact and this inch worm landed on me, and it was the cutest thing ever, then while we were there, we saw theses rowers pass by, and it made me sad because I just want to be a rower so badly. Also this weekend was a regatta (idk how to spell it) so there was sooooo many people at the lake this weekend, it was crazy!
Sister Saunders was able to spend the day with us on Saturday while her comp went to the temple. That was so much fun, I would love to be in a trio, honestly I would love to be Sister Saunders companion, we probably wouldn't get anything done though, because we would just have too much fun. Jk we would be great together.
Also I cooked dinner twice this week because I want to be a good cook. One day I cooked rice hamburger and brown gravy with asparagus then a different night I cooked grilled cheese with Brussel sprouts and strawberries. So I'm on my way to be a famous chef or something like that!!
Something else that was cool this week was that the spirit really prompted us to put one of our friends on date, so we did and that was really really cool, she is so prepared and I'm so excited for her to make these promises with God and receive so many blessings that will bless her and her family!
Oh yeah and my Easter egg package came this week too, which was soooo exciting. From that experience of it not showing up on time and getting delivered like 20 days late, I learned a lesson. Ask and ye shall receive :)
Oh yeah and I lowkey got a little sun this week so I'm not extremely pale anymore so that is a success to me :)
I had a great week though, time is flying by, start of May I will hit my 1 year left mark, so that is crazyyyyy!
