Transfer Call News

Hey Y'all!!
This week was pretty good, I don't think anything too crazy happened! (actually something pretty crazy is coming)

We had Transfer calls on Saturday night and I do not like transfer calls. They give me so much stress!! But I will be staying in Oak Ridge to TRAIN a new missionary!! AHHHHHHH, that's a little scary, I don't know if I know enough to train my own greenie! I honestly don't know how I feel about this, I feel all of the emotions! My companion, Sister Campbell will also be training a new missionary, just in a different area! I'm so sad that she will be leaving, but next transfer will be a 7 week adventure for sure.

One day this week, my comp was dying because we had been inside all morning. It had been rainy all day and she just wanted to leave, so we did. We didn't know where we were going but we went. We decided to drive past the park to see if there was anyone there, and at first, we didn't see anyone, but then we saw one lady walking her dog with her hood on. And we knew we needed to talk to her! So we did and she was very nice, she works with a member of the Church, and she told us that she admires all of us "Mormons" we gave her a card though so that was good!!

okay so one time... This is an actually really funny story, I think it was a couple weeks ago, but I forgot to share! Anyways my companion and I were parking at the church for district council, and we both stepped out of the car and all the sudden the car started rolling forwards. Sister campbell then jumps in the car and puts it in park. Oh my gosh I was laughing sooooo hard! It was so hilarious! Luckily we were the only ones in the parking lot so our car didn't hit anyone!

Sister Campbell and I had to go to the mission office one morning to do some things for her visa and to get me a new mattress. So we had the pleasure to hangout with Elder and Sister Williams for the afternoon! They are so sweet, they let us eat lunch with them and it was so much fun!

A friend that we are teaching took us to a fancy restaurant on the lake on Saturday! And while we were there, there was a bunch of high-school students there for prom. So that was fun to see.. I remember when I was in high school!

Yesterday we were at this members house and I kept getting the feeling that we needed to leave. Not because we felt threatened, but because I felt that we needed to be somewhere else. And last week we made a return appointment with this friend for Sunday night. And we were like should we go.. Because the mom there didn't like us, and it was weird vibes. But Sister Campbell and I knew that we both needed to go. And when we got there he told us that he had waited outside for an hour for us, and we told him we were so so sorry. But he was like it's totally fine, don't even worry about it, I know things come up. He was really nice about it, but we felt really bad! He got in a really bad car crash about a year ago and suffered some really bad brain damage, but he is super nice to us! It was cool that we both knew we needed to go see him, but it was sad that we made him wait :( we definitely repented for that one haha

If y'all haven't watched the book of Mormon videos yet, I invited you to do so! They are really good, and really bring the book of Mormon to life! They definitely help me to understand them a little bit more! (plus Nephi in the videos is pretty cute ;))

This week was really good! I'm a little terrified for the upcoming weeks, but I know things will be okay if I'm obedient and if I continue to increase my faith! I Love Y'all

Sister Merritt!
