10 Million Fireflies

This week was crazyyyyy! So much happened and I don't know if I'll be able to write it all! I'll just go over the important things that happened each day of the week!

On Tuesday we got to do some service for this lady, she was getting activated and it was really sad. But this lady had lots of stuff and she wouldn't let anyone throw anything away. So we just had to box everything! Also today we got to have interviews with our mission president! That was awesome, my mission president is an amazing guy, he's so knowledgeable!

On Wednesday we went and did more service for that same lady, it was like her stuff wasn't going away, we just kept finding more and more things! This night though, we had mutual and we were in charge. So we decided to play capture the flag. So we brought two bright pink and bright green bandanas and also bright pink and bright green face paint! It was so much fun, everyone loved it.
Oh my goodness on this night, the sisters came and grabbed us and took us outside. There were FIREFLIES!! I was so happy, I have never seen a fireflie in real life and I kind of freaked out, they are sooo cool!

On Thrusday we had our last district council of the transfer and that was good! Then we had to make a program for Caleb and Elijah's baptism! Making the program kind of sucked, but also we didn't know what we were doing. But don't you worry, we got it done! This night we were looking out our window at this huge spider and all the sudden a fireflie got stuck in its web and the spider came over and started wrapping it in web. And as you can imagine 3 girls watching this happen, we were all screaming. So we went outside and grabbed the fireflie and set it free!!

On Friday we did more service for that one lady. But we also cleaned the baptismal font! I got my converse all wet while I was cleaning this thing, but don't worry, it was worth it! Caleb and Elijah got their interviews this night and they passed, which we knew they would!

Then on Saturday, we had service all morning, then studies, then dinner, then a baptism! This night was so special for me, It was amazing, the spirit was so strong! I'm so happy Caleb and Elijah decided to get baptized. I think the most rewarding thing from the baptism, was how happy their family was afterwards, just watching them in church on Sunday after they got the Holy Ghost, they were sooo happy! One of our friends also came to the baptism, her name is Janice and I have the strongest love for her. She has been taught for almost two years, but things are starting to move forward with her. While she was at the baptism, I was praying the whole time for her. I wanted her to be overwhelmed by the spirit, I wanted her to feel and know that baptism is something that she needs to do soon! And so I was praying about all of those things, and then all the sudden, she starts talking about when it's her turn to get baptized. And so I decided to ask her when is it gonna be her turn. And she told us that she is gonna get married probably the month of June and baptism will quickly follow. We told her that next transfers are around July 13 and she said everything should happen within that time span, so that's super exciting!
This might we also had transfer calls, and I'm staying in Oak Ridge with Sister Bosted, super super excited about that! There is still work here that I need to do and I have noticed that! Sister Saunders will also be staying in the house too, she will be training a new missionary!

I'm doing good here in Oak Ridge, I'm super happy to be staying here! I'm grateful to be a missionary!

I love you
He Reigns!
Sister Merritt!
