I'm Alive But The Fish Are Dead...
Happy Monday y'all, I hope you're excited for this week and that you had a good weekend!
Mmmk to start off, last Monday, I absolutely destroyed my district at bowling. Like demolished them, they all didn't do too great, but I did amazing. But I'm being humble about it so don't worry ;) just kidding, it was all luck, I actually suck at bowling, I just had a good day! I still won though!
Tuesday and Wednesday, I wanted to lowkey cry. My companion was sick for both of these days, so we literally had to stay in all day, both days. I was sooooo lonely. But I cleaned the house and did lots of studying and I also played some solitaire while listening to conference talks. Those days sucked though! I just wanted to watch some TV those days, like I'd at least watch the chosen on the tvs, but no.
Then on Thursday, we had district council and that was good! And we had weekly planning and we went to the park and at one point this little boy walked up to us and gave sister Bosted knuckles then he started walking over to me and I went to give him knuckles and this boy just came over and sat on my lap... It was so funny, but that is against standards and his mom felt really bad. But he was really cute and it was funny.. Oops accidental disobedience
Then Friday, we did service for sister Greenhalgh and that was fun, we planted plants in the rain. There was little snails and slugs everywhere, it was fun! And after that, brother Greenhalgh made us crepes and they were amazing! Also that day we got to watch the chosen and that was really really good!
Hahah this is funny. On Saturday we helped with this carnival at the church and Sister Bosted and I were in charge of this fish/duck pond. And they were fake ducks, but real goldfish. And the kids would just come over and try to catch all these fish, there was like 60 of them. And not even kidding these kids would just grab these fish like it was nothing. It was super funny and really entertaining. At one point this elder in my district grabbed a fish and it was alive, so he went to throw it back into the pool, but he missed and it hit the cement, so someone hurried and grabbed it and threw it into the water. When it got in the water it like swam in 20 circles and then it started floating. And y'all may think that that is so sad, but I was dying of laughter, I thought it was so dang funny. Because at this point I had probably already seen 30 of these fish die. It was really entertaining and yes it was kind of sad, lowkey animal cruelty. Also that same elder put one of the fish in his mouth, soooo gross! Then we got to go play volleyball tonight and we played with this mom and her little boy and her little girl! She was super sweet and it was really fun to play with her! One of the friends that we teach lives across the street from where we play volleyball and she and her fiance was sitting outside and they had canceled on us that day. So we waved at them and they saw us and waved back. She then called us and asked if it was us and then when they found out it was, they brought us over some burgers and watermelon and it was so so good to see them!
On Sunday we taught relief society and we talked about these two talks from the past general conference and that was really awesome! I talked lots about my mom and I got all of the ladies in there crying. I kind of felt bad for making them all cry on mother's day, but I guess the spirit was just super strong! Plus I just love my mom and I think they could really really tell! I also got to talk to her today and that was really great! I love her so much!
