SPIRIT WEEK

Y'all I had such a good week! Like it was soooooo good! Spiritual high all week!!

On Tuesday we had zone conference, and as always it was awesome! It's always soooo good to see people that I have served with in the past! Zone conference is the best y'all!!

We met a really cool friend this week. Her name is Tosha and we love her. She is a nut, but I love her. She keeps saying we are sent from God and we are trying to figure out a good way to tell her that we actually are hahah. She likes us a lot and wants to change!

We went to have a lesson with our friend Terry, but when we got there, he told us his wife wasn't home and that it was too dark out. He told us that he loves us and is grateful for us! He also told us how much he loves Christ and how much he knows Christ loves us and he gave us both roses to remember that!

We had lunch with two of our friends that we are teaching, Elena and Sierra, we love them lots! We went and got crepes and smoothies! 

We were not planning on reaching out to one of our friends one day because the day before she talked about how busy she's going to be. She's been kind of shutting us down for lessons but we prayed and hoped that we can teach her sometime soon! Then we got prompted to make a short video about Mosiah 2:41 and we sent it to her. She responded and said that it was exactly what she needed to hear! She's been going through a rough time and hasn't known where to turn to. Now, we're planning on doing a study with her about the Atonement!! 

We just had a lesson with our friend Caleb, he is doing so awesome! He told us he accidently slipped up this morning with one of the commandments, but shortly after he felt guilty so he was quick to repentance. He loves the gospel of Jesus Christ and applies it so well in his life! Caleb rocks!

Oh my goodness the pictures of me in the chair with my blanket is when we had a awful phone call with one of our friends... She started talking to us about insest.

Something else amazing happened this week!! One day the mission president's wife texted and said that we would be having a zoom call that night at 9:30. Nobody knew what it was about and we were all kind of freaking out because we didn't know what was going on. We got on the call and they told us that Elder Pingree of the 70 (mission presidents wife's brother) is gonna be in the area on Sunday and that he wants to have a devotional with all of us Sunday night at 7. So literally the whole mission got together Sunday night and he gave us a devotional. It was AWESOME. For one the whole mission is NEVER together. And for two, we talked about the atonement of Jesus Christ and the spirit was soooo strong. It was such an amazing experience! He had us read 9 chapters of the book of Mormon in preparation for the meeting and I learned so much about the atonement. One of the biggest things that I learned is that Jesus Christ = Joy! I was reading Mosiah 3-5 and it talks a lot about Joy coming from believing in Christ and repenting for our mistakes. I read a verse that said Christ will suffer more than any man can suffer. So, I decided to look up what it means to suffer, and what stood out to me was that the opposite of the word suffer is to enJOY! So many verses in Mosiah 3-5 talk about all this joy that we can have. We just have to act and the joy is ours. Jesus Christ suffered so that I (you) can have JOY!! I love Jesus so much, and I'm grateful that I have been able to come to know him in Tennessee (& Virginia)!
