Good Soup

Happy Monday everyone! I hopy you all had a good week last week :)

My week was good, a lot happened this week so it went by fast, but I also feel like last Monday was soooooo long ago!

We went on a really fun hike on pday which was so great! It was absolutely gorgeous, I'll put some pictures down below. Then we were at Walmart getting groceries for like two hours which was not great!

All week people have been canceling on us last minute, so we have had to replan our day like 3 times a day. That's pretty annoying that we have to do that, but it just gives us a chance to be doing what God's needs us to do. 

We had a really good day on wednesday! Sister Erekson and I made cookies and while we did that, we told each other our deepest darkest secrets (not really lol). It was a very good get to know you session! And then we had the best lesson today with our friends Betty and Ej, they are both members, but very inactive. The last time Betty came to church was when she was confirmed a member of the church. She was very pushed into the gospel, so that drove her away! But anyways we had an awesome lesson with them this week and we brought the senior couple with us so they could meet someone else in the ward. They loved the Hales and we talked about the plan of salvation with them! It was soooo spiritual when we talked about the resurrection and how we got to teach her that her body would be perfect, she told us that she was looking forward to that day when she can see her daughters face. It was super sweet and super spiritual! Then after that lesson, our senior couple, the Hales, fed us dinner and it was soooooo yummy!! We love the Hales! 

On Thursday we planned to do service for sister King that morning. We got there and she didn't have much for us to do, so she made us breakfast, then she said we could paint her baseboards. So we did that all together and that was super fun! She ended up feeding us again Friday night and we had barbecue, it was super good! She told us at dinner on Friday that she really just wanted us to come over and be with her on Thursday morning and that she didn't have much service for us todo. She's funny, we love Trea King.

On Thursday night we ate dinner at the Martinezs house. I LOVE THE MARTINEZ FAMILY! It's just brother and sister Martinez and their granddaughter in this massive house and they are hilarious. They told me that if I really wanted too, after my mission I could just come and live with them. Sister Martinez is an amazing cook, like so good! She made chicken Alfredo, and that was right up Sister Erekson and my alley. It was so good! 

When we first met our friend Elena, she told us she's not getting baptized until she's 30 because she doesn't want to give up coffee. Flashforward to today and SHES ON DATE FOR BAPTISM!!! She is seriously so awesome and has a desire to truly know Christ!

Betty came to church this Sunday because it was the primary program, so that was literally amazing, she came to church and we were more than happy about that!!
