"Special Assignment"

Wow this was an absolute quick week! It was very good too! Last Monday we went to Panther Creek Park and played volleyball and ultimate Frisbee and then we were gonna go back to the church to play card games, but we wanted pizza. So we were all arguing about who was gonna buy the pizza and Elder Hales (senior missionary) walked over with his arm in the air with $40 in his hand. We love the senior couple! They are the best! We went to a lesson with them this week and then after that we went to see this inactive member and Elder Hales introduced us as his daughter's, it was the sweetest thing ever :)

We went and did service for sister King on Thursday and she is my most favorite person ever on the planet! I love that women with all of my heart! We raked her 3 million leaves in her front yard! She also made us pancakes and they were huge! It's was good!

We heart attacked the sisters in our district this week. We just wanted to let them know that we are very grateful for them so we heart attacked their front door!

We ate at the Martinezs this week, and that food is always sooo good! She is putting something in the food she cooks because it's always soooo yummy!

We had transfer calls last Saturday night and I'm getting transfered. I am sad to leave lots of people here that I love, but I'm also soooo excited for my next area! They announced that I will be going to Bearden YSA (young single adult ward) in Knoxville, and my new companion will be sister Swift. Sister Swift was in my district for two transfers a couple months ago, so I know her well! And she is in the same ward back home as my cousin Britt. Something interesting though is that when they announced that I was leaving they said "sister Merritt will be leaving Lakeway Central will serve in the Bearden YSA with special assignment with sister swift. And then they announced a senior missionary in the office with special assignment too. The interesting thing is that they have never announced a "special assignment" before so I have no idea what it's gonna be. I know that I am gonna be on the social media team, which will be super super cool!

So something that happened this week that was kind of sad is that we stopped teaching Caleb and Tosha this week! They both are very promising and WILL get baptized one day, it's just not their time right now and sister Erekson and I both felt that! Caleb has to heal physically from his car accident, he is still going through the healing process and has another surgery coming up. One day though, I know he will enter in!

THE GREATEST THING HAPPENED ON SUNDAY!! We went over to this part member families house, the Bazors. We were going so I could say goodbye, and so we could share a message. While we were there the middle daughter, Sierra told us at church today, she decided she wants to be baptized soon! She literally could get baptized tomorrow, so this is so exciting! She told us that her mom and her studied out of the book of Mormon for about 4 hours. I'm so excited for her! I am sad that I'm leaving now that she wants to get baptized. I've been working with this family for all 3 transfers that I've been here. They loved sister swift though, so it's okay, we can zoom into her baptism:)

On Sunday sister Martinez was so mad when I told her that I was leaving. She went up to my district leader and go so mad at him because "he didn't fight hard enough to keep me here" it was super funny. I hate goodbyes so this week is gonna be interesting, but I'm so excited for my new adventure!
Love y'all!!
