Aruba... Jamaica... Ooo I Wanna Take Ya ;)
This week was a blast, I loved it!!
We got to go to Cookeville this week to film for the social media page! It was like a two hour drive but it was fun to go to that side of the mission. We spent the whole day filming people's testimonies! IT WAS THE BEST! The Spirit was super strong all day. Yay for testimonies
Since we're in Knoxville, we're at the mission office a lot. I made it a goal to have all the senior couples be my besties and man oh man mission accomplished. I love them with all my heart. The senior couples are such a blessing. I LOVE THEM!!
We had exchanges this week and I got to be with Sister BOYACK! SHE was my trainer and she is seriously such an amazing missionary and I love her so much. We talked lots about memories from exactly a year ago now which was when we were companions and we had the funnest exchange haha. I love all the missionaries I get to serve with, they inspire me so so much. The TKM is filled with such great people and I'm so grateful to serve with them!!
One of our friends came to church this week, but the funny part is that she came in and she was really really high! I love her, she was vibin haha
We had a dinner appointment with this family and their names are the Crossens and they have 4 little girls, and they are the cutest things ever! The littlest girls name is Lilly and she just loved me,she would only eat if I fed her and she was all over me during the inspirational message we were sharing. I think at one point she was just sitting on my lap for a while. (kind of not allowed, but she reminded me of Sawyer) she was 3 years old and it was the best dinner appointment!
My mom and dad are on a cruze right now and they didn't invite me... it's okay though, I didn't want to go anyways!
Something spiritual that I've been thinking lots about this week is the story of Alma the younger. The story is about Alma and his son "Alma the younger"
Alma the Younger and the four sons of King Mosiah fought against the Church. They persuaded many people to leave the Church and become wicked. Alma the father prayed that his son would learn the truth and repent. Alma the Younger and the sons of King Mosiah continued trying to destroy the Church. One day an angel appeared to them. The angel spoke in a loud voice that shook the ground. The five young men were so frightened that they fell down. At first they could not understand what the angel was saying. The angel had come in answer to the prayers of his father and those that love him. The angel asked Alma the Younger why he was fighting against the Church. Alma then came to know the truthfulness of the gospel of Jesus christ and he became one of the best missionaries.
What I get out of this story is that when we pray for people in our lives that may not be doing things that invite God into their lives, our prayers are inviting God into their lives! I've seen that come to pass in my life and I know the power of prayer to be true! Pray for those you love and see the outcome, it will be something you won't regret!
